The craters in this area erode with these jagged rough edges. I believe this is due to the evaporate rock (The one with the blueberryâ€™s) and the way it erodes.

Compare those with craters found elsewhere on Mars

Those in Meridiani have a different characteristic than those found elsewhere on Mars.
