The launch of Atlantis STS 98 february 7 2001
To bring Destiny to ISS...
Liftoff took place after sunset....And the full Moon was rising...
During ascent, the stack and the smoke cought up with the sunlight and it produced this incredible picture!!!
The smoke produced a shadow aiming straight towards the Moon !!!!
When MCC transmitted this picture to the crew, Marsha Ivins called Tom Jones who was at the middeck...They were all marveled by it.
