I do know some gay people. Most are shocked that a right wing extreemist like me can be perfectly ok with their sexuality...

I also once met a very left-wing politician who suprised the heck out of me by making some really off-color comments about gays. I can only assume that he thought he could impress my right wing wickedness by letting me know that there were some parts of the Democratic constituancy that he didn't care for.

My opinion of said Left wing scoundral was lowered a bit...thus he not only failed to impress me, he actually turned me even more against the Democrats. They are even more phony on that issue (and many other issues) as anyone in the Republican party.
