Now that the Zone's over 300,000 messages, I'm thinking of ways to bring the old stuff back to life--searching, bookmarking, "best of" lists, stuff like that. Maybe even online PDF creation to publish little Zone eBooks.

That's a Frankenstein demo, with the AJAx TOC component stitched on to the old software. The message form and message display is particularly broken, since their buttons and links point into the old architecture. Not surprised to hear that the back button doesn't work; I probably never tried it, just assuming it was busted.

I had mixed feelings about showing something so crude and patchwork, but the important thing is just the functionality of the new-n-improved TOC. Stipulated, everything else is FUBARed.
