North Korea with nukes makes for a much safer world since there is a "preemptive" aggressor in the White House. At least North Korea won't be attacked by the US, and any surrogate the US put up to attacking would have to deal with China and Russia.
Do I think North Korea would launch a nuclear attack on the US or Japan? Of course not. Not even through a surrogate.
The Soviet Union didn't, and it had a credible force.
China hasn't, and China WOULD prevail over the US in any conflict in which it took an active interest. Including all-out nuclear war. (Kill 300 million Americans, what's left? Kill 600 million Chinese, they have 700 million left. With all of the US into which to expand.)
Contrary to propaganda, the North Koreans aren't crazy. They are less of a proliferator than Pakistan, and yet the US has been threatening North Korea for a long, long time. Developing nukes were the only way for their leadership to ensure the safety of their country against a proven aggressor.

To be honest, I feel safer.
