As Tony suggests, this preelection smear attempt by Republicans is unlikely to go anywhere. Its sole significance is to highlight the mad desparation of RightWing partisans faced with the certainty of losing their iron grip on power.
And geez, c'mon, this is Nevada we're talking about. From what I know about the place from the half my family living there, it sounds like Reid's transaction was handled with the highest level of discretion and rectitude...by Nevada standards.
I mean seriously, I just went through a bureaucratic nightmare involving trying to register a vehicle in California that came from Nevada, after having been purchased originally in California. Turns out that Nevada doesn't do things like confiscate out-of-state title to issue their own, and imagine how it infuriating it was to find out that California DMV wouldn't accept their own original title--it had to come from Nevada. And Nevada doesn't seem to give a rat's ass about paperwork (an attitude I have to admit that I admire, even if it did cause me a big hassle). Nevada bureaucrats seem to deal in approximation and getting it in the right ballpark; they may be the least anal retentive bureaucrats in the world.
Sloppy paperwork in Nevada? Land o'goshen, the scandal! Certainly faulty paperwork ranks right up there with pedophilia...at least in the minds of RightWing extremists.
