Correction: that was Wednesday morning, not Tuesday... approximately an hour before local sunrise.
HeavensAbove.com listed the magnitude for that pass at 0.0, meaning it should have been as bright as Capella. Looked brighter to me, possibly because it was obviously an extended object.
