Expecting any recriminations from today's journalists, seeking defeat and civil war in Iraq, and death for members of the US military, is unrealistic. Maybe in 10 years, when there is no immediate election to be won, journalists will proffer up 'self-reflection' on their role in perpetuating the huge lie and myth that 'Iraq is worse off now than it was under Saddam' and sell some 'truth' stashed away for when it is profitable to do so.
But don't count on it.
