I used to carry a Leatherman

Very useful. Got out of the habit when it made trouble for me at a couple of airline inspections. Had to run across the airport and FedEx it to myself once. Should get back in the habit--I've found more than a few times when I could really have used it.

Oddly, I used to carry a Swiss Army Knife on planes in the old days. No problems.
