A description of the video

At the start you can see me move the camera up to catch the ISS as it comes up over the roof of the house looking almost due west. At 43 seconds into the video it passes directly in front of an unidentified star. At 48 seconds when it approaches the top of the screen I reposition the camera to keep it in the field of view. I do it again at 51 seconds, again at 1:09, and one more time at 1:11. I edited out the camera motion at each point where I moved it, so the timing refers to the video only, not real time. I guess I shouldn’t have done that as it just adds to any confusion.

At 1 minute into the video it passes under another object that appears to be moving down. I was puzzled by this at first until I noticed that the faint outline of the power lines in the lower left of the picture are moving down at the same speed. Apparently the tripod was not tight enough and it was gradually slipping upward, giving the appearance of motion to that star. Alas, it was not another satellite, or a UFO ;-).

Finally it moves to the right side of the screen, heading east and at 1:21 goes into the earths shadow.
