I can't see how an aircraft crashing into the surface of the sea could create a "seismic event". And an aircraft crashing into the sea floor, even if it was not broken up, couldn't make enough of a disturbance either? Could it? And isn't that whole area seismically active? "Ring of fire" and all that?
