NOT the end of the diinosaurs
Although the wording is a little hyperbolic, the message was NOT that internal parasites brought about the end of the era of dinosaurs - merely that dinosaurs, too, had worms.
If you look at the date quoted - 75 million years, that's a full 10 million years before Chixculub and the subsequent demise of the dinosaurs. That's way too early to be a "death knell".
