re: The memo is dated almost two weeks after Air America filed bankruptcy.

There are certainly degrees of controversy to the various hosts of Air America. The one that went for the throat the most (Mike Malloy) actually got fired weeks before the bankruptcy. Al Franken is as much bad comedy as hard hitting political diatribe. Randi Rhodes is probably a bit controversial but pales in comparison to the really nasty things people like Rush, Bill O'Reilly, and Ann Coulter say daily.

The other hosts are actually quite mellow and concilliatory in their approach to talk radio. Peter B. Collins treats all callers fairly and honestly. He is a real pleasure to listen to but I have to admit, Malloy was the real showman of the bunch. Rhodes is also great entertainment because of how fast that woman's mind is and the wealth of knowledge she possesses.

However, you almost never see any of them in newsworthy controversies like you do with the conservatives. They do say some outrageous things about our leaders from time to time but there's usually huge amounts of evidence to back up their claims unlike Rush's ridiculous attacks on Michael J. Fox or Ann Coulter's jumping on the 9/11 victim families.

It'd be interesting to see a list of CEO's and board of directors for each of those companies and map the amounts of political contributions from them to the two parties. I think it'd be pretty evident what side they were on.
