There's no doubt in my mind this guy tried to be the best person he could be. I would be very surprised if he didn't fight his homosexual urges to the very best of his ability. He had to be one miserable person with something overriding his professed sense of morality. A form, maybe, of the Devil.
Cases such as this make it very obvious there is something genetic in homosexuality. That it's not a choice. The Devil is in the genes. Consider Alan Turing, who committed suicide because he couldn't deny his homosexuality.
"Haggard known as maverick evangelical leader. He quit National Association of Evangelicals after gay sex allegation." For alleged "Christians" to deny, for instance, the right of two people in love to form even a civil union is both hypocritical and cruel. To cite the Bible as the reason for doing so is the same as people dunking witches before mental illnesses were better understood. Absolutely the same superstitious reasoning with the same mean-spirited outcome. Since the demise of the godless communism of the Soviet Union and the economic dependence on China the "Christians" seem to have taken after gays to energize their congregations and raise money. One would that the so-called "Christians" would get ground down by all the evidence and do what Christ would have done. Instead of the exact, precise opposite. They could show us all how to live spiritual lives, how their religion is an antidote to fear, hatred, anger and aggression. That doesn't seem to be an interest. It's probably not a possiblility. Arf
Grinding ya down.
