Publius has a long history of needling me for my "lack of nuance" in my thought processes. I actually never once twigged to what he was really going for, and assumed he was making some crack about my simple explanations of genetics. When he said "clean minded," I read "uncomplicated," and when he invoked an evangelist, I took it in the context again of someone with a very simple-minded outlook on reality.
