U.S.S. Intrepid STUCK in the MUD
The primary recovery vessel for the Mercury and Gemini spaceflights was to be towed to the Jersey City Shipyard for a 2 year overhaul as it has been at the same pier in NYC for over 20 yrs as the AIR and Space Museum. Now, in it's attempt this morning , 5 tugs pulling at the carrier failed to move it from it's berth. Try again tomorrow. CNN Reports.......
