That pink flat top stuff was Butch Wax. I loved that stuff. My hair is very fine and that was the only thing that would sort of hold my hair in the popular styles.
I graduated from flat top to long duck tails that was an Elvis look before Elvis.
I have cut my hair progressively shorter as I aged. I wore it abot 2" for years then went to 1", 1/2", until I settled on 1/8" 2-3 years ago. I tried shaving my hair once but that is a major pain in the ass. Beats me how those who do it can stand the bother.
