Peers are embarassed by Idaho professor's 'pseudo-academic' pursuits

The question I have to ask is, with the proliferation of cameras all
over the place, including our cell phones, and the doubled population
of the human race since the 1960s, why are there fewer images and
video taken of so-called UFOs, Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, etc.?

And why hasn't anyone ever captured one of them after all these
years? Gorillas were once considered legends by the Europeans
colonizing Africa, until they actually started finding some.

Of course some people would rather have the mystery, to say
nothing of the income such things can generate. If only the public
was better educated on the sciences and history, they would find
there are plenty of real mysteries all around that are fascinating
and deserve further investigation.
