It's a joke.
A satire on the media's eagerness to push results out the door WAY too early. It's instructive to see which races they call quickly, and which ones they don't call until they are dragged kicking and screaming into it.
Incidentally, there aren't going to be any exit polls for House races, and after 2004, you'd think people would give exit polls a wide berth anyway.
