Last night I was following the Virginia results, found a county-by-county tally. If I remember correctly, all counties were counted except one, "Isle of Wight". It was very late, and Isle of Wight was going 3 - 2 Allan. Why, I wondered, would a county have only 52% of the precincts counted when everyone else had 100% if the voting were electronic? And why is it going 3 - 2 now? Is it waiting to see how many votes are needed? It was close enough that it looked as if that county could have done it.
And then I found a lot of counties with very wide variations in Virginia.
And the machines aren't Diebold.
May explain things.
As for lawyers, I suspect you can find a VERY LARGE army of Republican lawyers in Virginia right now, either "volunteers" with expenses paid by the RNC, or straight-out paid by the RNC, scrounging through every possible vote and voter.

I wondered about that, too.
