I think one reason why the Democrats have been against everything the Republicans have done is because they had no say or part in it. Now that they’ll have a say and part in the decisions, I am hoping they’ll find a common ground. And maybe some things can get accomplished. We can hope, anyway.

It is kind of like sitting on the bench bitching about the way the game is going. And then the coach puts you end and suddenly you are part of the game.

Of course, it is easier to sit and bitch than to have to make plays, but no one likes to sit on the bench while an important game is being played. But it can be a shock when you have been sitting on the bench complaining about how the game is being played, then suddenly you are thrust into action.

And that is where the Democrats are. They have been sitting on the bench saying they can play the game better if they were part of it. Now they are about to be handed the ball. Will they fumble or score a touchdown?

And now that the Republicans are not having to carry the team, some of the heat is off them, but if they don’t watch it, they could find themselves on the bench bitching about how the game is played.

Perhaps the Democrats and Republicans can work together to get down the field and score that touchdown. Perhaps they can not do it apart no matter how hard each one tries. Perhaps the only way they can score that touchdown is to work together as a team.
