ER, I appreciate the explanation and understand your frustration with it all. There have been a few times when I've had enough of the board and it's posters that I've taken a break from reading and responding. There becomes a point in time when the responses are so idiotic or mean-spirited that the entertainment value simply ceases to exist.

I think what people forget on here is that, in my case at least, I tend to participate in spurts. I have a life other than blogging on the internet and there will often be days that go by before I'm able to look at this board and see what's current and often that will only include the top page on each board. Often topics come fast and furious and a hot one might get bumped down a page or so very quickly.

People need to understand when posting that it's highly likely that someone like myself won't have a clue what they're talking about if they're dredging up something from a day or so ago. The simple courtesy is to add a few extra lines to bring them up to speed. ie: "This is in reference to a conversation we had on the Space board with the title of ....".

Without that, there's this air of arrogance to the post. Well of course you know what I'm referring to. How could you not stay completely up to date with all that affects me? What a crock. When people then throw in phony and cute handles it makes it even more bizarre. There's also some board history that I've managed to slowly find bits and pieces of but it's still very incomplete and yet many of the old-timers have quite the assumption that everyone's in on it. In most cases people have been helpful in filling in the blanks but it gets tiresome even asking the questions.

Here's where I'm at. Other than a few folks whose eloquence has captivated me, I have no clue nor do I care what their history with one another other is. I could care less how people are related or what feuds they've had in the past. I would prefer to look at a handle and know that it is consistent with the one used 6 months ago. I have no interest in knowing any true personal information about anyone on here unless they want to privately convey it or include it in the album. I will not track IP numbers. There's simply not enough time in the day to do that much work or engage any of my limited brain memory for that task.

That said, your posts are a wonderful read and I hope all the pettiness from one or two idiots doesn't chase you away.
