I read the article as saying there will be changes in strategy. Haven't they heard the CinC's man?

"WASHINGTON, Nov. 5, 2006 – The United States will go “full-speed ahead” in implementing the strategy in Iraq and won’t be swayed by political pressures or “because it’s hard going,” Vice President Richard B. Cheney reaffirmed today."

Now I read that as the dumb son-of-a-bitch saying that the strategy will not be changed just because of "political pressures" or because it's not working.

And the military saying that they will change because it's not working.

It's a puzzlement. Just an outright puzzlement.
