Talk about inept. It's been political since the start, with responsible military folks like Shalikashvili and and former military Powell saying it would take more troops, many more, to do the job. (And obviously, unless one loves the present situation, it would have. Unless the present situation is that for which all was planned.)

Rumsfeld and Bush overrode them, installing the shills who got us here. These generals, clearly, will say anything they're told. It's always the light at the end of the tunnel for these guys. Remember when they were debating whether it would be 12 or 18 months?

I hope he gets what he wants, so as to make a clean break of it when we leave. Listen to them, though, tell how well it's going. There will be an offensive of bullshit as Bush & Co. try to talk their way to victory.

Then look at Anbar Province, Baghdad outside the Green Zone, and what's happening before and after the forces move through an area. Watch 'em take Fallujah for the third time. To see what's really happening.

Bush's ego will kill many more people before this is over. I don't like Cindy Sheehan, but if she told me the Sun rises in the West, and Bush told me it rises in the East, I'd have to wonder when it changed.
