re: 9/10ths of nothing in the UK
Central UK - I couldn't set the camera for the peak, but I had more than 130 minutes of open shutter time across 270 images from 0030 to 0250 - and didn't catch a single one...just one 'other' meteor that I dont think is a Leonid...
Top right...moving up and left...which is counterindicitive of a Leonid which should be travelling up and right at that point in the sky.
