Very Stupid.
A Jackson film would have been mostly critic proof. I'm not sure even Jackson could duplicate his LOTR feat, but I'd sure give him a chance. Anyone else does it and people will expect it to flop as so many similar films have. Their only hope would be to get the people behind chronicles of Narnia (although I didn't care that much fo it) or some of the most successful Potter Films.
