Hi All
Cool NASA history book which has just been updated: Apollo By The Numbers
...contains all the bits of trivia about the different missions that appeals to a numbers nut like myself and any other pedantic space-enthusiast. Ok. So am I the only one who still wonders about what might've been if space-flight had been sold better in c.1970?
I think two factors kept NASA's dreams, like von Braun's vision, from coming true - the ill-will of the public over lives & money seemingly wasted on a stupid contemporary war, and the perceived hostility of the near planets.
Has anything changed?
