Iranian Diplomacy 101 (Plus a great Marxist expose!)
Make sure you have a guaranteed veto in the UN
Important quotes:
And CNOOC said on Monday that it was likely to import seven LNG spot cargoes in 2007 for processing at its Dapeng terminal in Shenzhen. The spot cargoes, each of 145,000 cubic metres, will be supplied by France's Total, French-Belgian Suez, and Shell.
About half of China's oil comes from the Middle East, growing to an anticipated 70 per cent by 2015. And it has a strong incentive to focus more heavily on Iran, where there are fewer competitors. American companies are forbidden from investing there.
It's in the corrupt nations interests for dictatorships to thrive so long as it keeps out US oil companies. France is happily in bed with Iran alongside China. Iraq which was a happy dictatorship and "stable" which is a code word for "corrupt and willing to do business with nations who sponsor/support dictators".
And if one wants some more insight into the mindset of the European communists anti-US / anti-UK propaganda read on
Important quotes:
In the event the US attack on Iraq had to be undertaken without the support of Germany, France, the EU or the UN. Britain, however, took on a key role in rallying minority support. Since 2003 Britain has played an even more important role in changing the political balance inside the European Union. The entry of the Eastern European accession states brought in countries in which the neo-capitalist elites were highly dependent on US-influenced structures of support. In 2004-5 Britain succeeded in forcing a redrafting of the EU Constitution that consolidated a new voting block within the Council of Ministers and required EU military planning and armaments to be synchronised with those of NATO. In parallel Britain pushed forward the neo-liberal Lisbon agenda for a fully flexible trans-EU labour market and the opening of existing state-controlled sectors in oil, gas, electricity generation, postal services, communications and particularly financial services and pensions. This primarily benefits US and British banks and transnationals but also draws wider big business support from elsewhere in Europe. As a policy it represents a direct attack on the state monopoly capital base of French and German big business.
Overall, on a global scale, the new US policy of unilateralism appears to have failed. The plan for a reconfiguration of a greater Middle East in terms of liberal market democracies now looks impossible. US policy has left Syria and Iran strengthened and Saudi Arabia still more unstable. Recent attempts to open a new front in Lebanon (ultimately directed against Iran) have been equally counterproductive. Meanwhile, on the American continent itself challenges to US domination have developed a quite new momentum.
For all those here who have there eyes closed - and denied what I've pointed out to skepticism - these quotes should've opened them very wide.
I may still need to translate for some. The communists in Europe are very happy with dictators who sell OIL with communists and not the USA. They rejoice in the Iraqi 'insurgency' and are doing everything they can to see the Middle East stay a home of tyranny, bloodshed and cheaper oil for France, Belgium and Germany. They hate seeing their monopolies in Europe have to compete for services and dislike that the former oppressed peoples seem to like the US better as a business partner.
And that last bit about "challenges on the US continent" in case leftist folks here missed it...that's YOU GUYS!
The left here is viewed as obedient puppets of anti-US policy directed out of Europe by communists who are allergic to hard work and competition.
Yes, I know..the left here had no idea. They think they're the good guys.
It could be funny if it weren't so sad.
