I agree

I used to support having Orcas and others in captivity for it's educational benefit, but long ago changed my mind. One of the turning points was when I was a University student - Aquarium membership was cheap for students and I liked to go down when it was rainy and nobody much was around. The Vancouver Aquarium had dolphins and the adjacent zoo had river otters. I got a kick out of getting the otters to follow me back and forth by the underwater viewing windows, they would keep it up indefinitely - or at least longer than me.

The dolphins, on the other hand, would follow me for a while, turning when I did, but after a bit they started turing first, wanting me to follow them for a change.

I like to think I did a bit to relieve their boredom, but it must have seemed like an awfully small world to them after being in the open ocean. Safer and easier, but a prison nonetheless.
