I'm not talking about the space engineers
I am talking about the politicians and the general public, who react far more
often with their gut instincts than with a rational science background.
As far as they know, things in space can get around anywhere at any time,
instantly drop bombs or zap people on the ground with laser beams, and of
course spy on them with super powerful cameras that even record movement
any time and any place.
That is the real effect the global space military powers want. Actual war is
so messy. Much easier just to keep the masses in line with fear.
