The unwarranted and unjustified invasion of Iraq has been a terrific strategic blunder, one that threatens the well-being of American international interests for decades to come. It was a bad idea, born of bad judgement by an incompetent and naive administration.
All George Bush has done has been to give Iran and Syria a stronger hand in the region and in the internal affairs of Iraq. We are spending hundreds of billions of dollars that could be better put to actually helping Americans here at home and improving our own domestic security capacity.
