It's an ineffective method

Bullying implies using intimidation or physical strength to get across your views. One can be driven but understand the humanity and rights of the subject they're trying to drive and know when to stop, admit defeat, or simply compromise.

I've been very driven at times in my life but I've tried to retain some humility and compassion for the others around me. The only times I feel I've gone for the throat is when I've taken on another bully and usually it's in defense of another victimized individual. I've done in (figuratively) a few intimidators in my days.

The dumb thing about true bullies is that is an extremely ineffectual method except in the short run. Ultimately it always comes back to bite the offender. You create too many enemies along the way. Since often those enemies are weaker or have low self-esteem, they resort to devious and back-door methods to get their retribution. The bully very rarely sees it coming.
