Is that how they are planning to land the MSL? (I have not been keeping up with that one as much as I would like)
If so, why are they dumping the airbags? They are 3 for 3. Granted, the probes get rattled a lot, but still...it worked. This new stuff looks complicated, and I am a firm believer that the more complex something is, the better chance of something going wrong. I like the KISS approach.
Anyway, it does look exciting, and I guess we’ll never advance if we don’t take risks.
