I'm not sure exactly how the heating issue is handled even for terrestrial concentrators, though I'd say you're right about convection. Geoff Landis's in-space design has x50 concentrators and a radiator attached. Above a certain level I imagine active cooling might be needed but I can't tell you what that flux level is.
