...your 'allies' have likely taken the real ones away to cover their tracks and because they "owed" Saddam. They'll know they are not the real McCoy and because their cooperation would not be forthcoming, regardless.

That's why nothing was planted. Our allies worst fears were realized when Bush went ahead against all UN maneuvering, diplomatic posturing and even Russian sabre-rattling about going after Saddam - we discovered our allies were the bad guys.

And EU-US relations have never been the same. We caught them red-handed.

We also now understand why France, Belgium, Russia and Germany want Iran to have nukes.

So instead? We give nuclear material to India - who, unbelievably, is more trustworthy than any state in Europe right now.

That's the real news.

Canada will be making a choice, eventually, too. Do the French speaking provinces align diplomatically with France/Germany/Russia/Iran? Or does the whole thing ride with their nearest neighbor and the forming US/UK/India triad?

Or does a third fate await -Canada break up into two nations, divided on these and other issues?
