This was going on about this time yesterday just 3 miles from where I work.
This 25 year old father of two was driving 120 mph, possibly drunk, and the three children in his car were not restrained.
His stupidity inconvenienced thousands of motorist (It took me over an hour to get home- a 15 mile drive). But far worse than that, he killed his son and almost killed his daughter.
This was a stupid thing to happen.
Cars can be dangerous. There is a lot of force involved when you get two tons of metal moving. It is a force to be respected, not to be used carelessly. For misused, this for can change or take life in a second.
And it breaks my heart to think an innocent child had to pay for this idiot's mistake. Children deserve better than that. They trust us adults to protect them, and we should do everything we can to see that we do.
How to be an idiot.
