I would venture to say that the warping of space is - by definition- gravity...
Lots of Sci-Fi stories talk about warping space to achieve FTL travel... makes for a good story, but the question is "How?". As we know the physics the only way to warp space is to have a large mass/energy density. We know no other way to get a handle on it- Of course, we may learn something in the future- but as of now there is no practical way of doing it...
