Let's assume Iraq won't get any worse, won't get any better. The status quo will continue to be the status quo.
How long should Americans stay in-country in order to maintain the present situation?
If the status quo is NOT a satisfactory situation, what would be the markers for leaving?
(Please forget the hypothetical "we're winning" statements which are patently not true, and the equally silly "they're gonna destroy us completely".)
