re: Statues not a rich topic for puns?
Ah, but puns appeal to our base instincts. The usual cast will probably come around to park their commemoration of the mangling of the language -- which, as much as we love it, we do not put on a pedestal, nor do we take it for granite (although at times we seem to have lost our marbles, at least in the abstract).
The end of this post may come as a relief to some, but to that I say "Bas!".
By the way... has anyone seen my lost wax?
