Assuming "Christian" means a follower of Christ's teaching, a believer in a New Covenant of the New Testament replacing the Old Covenant of the Old Testament one would think they believed in the idea of "redemption".
If one can be "redeemed", and if one "loves the sinner while condemning the sin", it seems ridiculous to kill the sinner if that doesn't undo the sin.
And no amount of tortured reasoning can reconcile "Thou Shalt Not Kill" with the New Testament, and therefore Christ's teaching. (It is interesting to see how that is worried around by Christians, attempting semantically to justify what is clearly offensive to Christ's teaching and the spirit of The Sermon on the Mount.)
I wonder if He would drive GWB, et al., from their "temples" if he came back to Earth now. I suspect so.

Another Christian hypocrisy.
