but one I wouldn't put past the worst in the inner bowels of the PNAC, is that there's intel about some upcoming plot that they plan on letting occur and someone leaked the details to Robertson to empower the religious right when it all comes true.

Either that or, like any other charlatan prognosticator, Robertson is simply employing the age-old tactic of of stating something likely or possible in the hopes he's right. If he is, he can boast about his communication abilities with the almighty. If he's wrong, everyone forgets about the prediction. One simply has to make frequent predictions and, when some of them do end up coming true, use marketing skills to boast the success and bury the wrong ones.
