Remember when Bush promised unqualified support for al-Maliki?
After they leaked a paper calling al-Maliki ineffectual and unable to govern. And Bush met with him and promised that al-Maliki was THE MAN!
Well, you knew when Bush said that he meant the opposite. And some of us commented that the endorsement meant the guy was gone. Finished. Fired. 'Cause Bush seemingly just can't find it in himself to tell the truth.
Here he starts to go, gracefully. Can't make it look like Bush & Co. kicked out a democratically elected leader, can we?
