Which may, or may not, be in my cold dead hand.
I don't know if this is still the case (I hope it is), but many years ago when a fellow murdered 14 young women at a technical school in Quebec, Canada went into such a spasm of grief and anger that the country basically seemed to shut down. It was, I thought, as close as a nation was likely get to an appropriate response to such a terrible outrage.
Canada has no NRA per se, but I fear gun lunatics know no boundaries. I hope that Canadians are still deeply effected en masse by violence, but I can't say for that it's the case.
