When the Strong Man wins, you think he's going to quit then?

One of the problems I've had here is disabusing people of the notion that Saddam's Iraq, which during his reign:

--began two separate nuclear weapons programs in sequence that had to be bombed out one after the other

--Invaded Iran and Kuwait, killing up to a million people in the wars. Saudi Arabia

--Created and used gas weapons on his enemies

--Destroyed hundreds of thousands of his own people

--Fired missiles into Israel

--Supported Palestinian terrorism and terrorist acts around the world

was a force for "stability" in the Middle East.

If we allow Iraq to fall back under some tyranny, secular or Islamist, you really think we're going to be able to just sit back and wait for it all to settle down on its own?
