Space/Science » in reply to Budget crunch may dim vision for NASA

The usual inverted priorities out of washington

By all means emphasize white elephants and corporate aerospace welfare over the programs that have been truly bring knowledge and the universe to us all (science probes). NASA priorities are so bassackward it isn't even funny. The damn ISS and the shuttle to support it has sucked so many billions out of the space program for so little return it makes me sick. What a waste!

Sadly, even as I find the construction of the ISS "cool," I can't enjoy the process much as I think about the absurd cost of it, and all the science that could have been returned in an alternative universe with proper priorities in place.
