So do I
Back in my 20s, a bunch of friends got together every Wednesday night and played for hours. And there's a strategic advantage to concentrating one's forces in the area of the board labeled "Middle East", early in the game... as long as you play *ahem* conservatively (I won't bore non-RISKers with the reason).
However, I don't believe any of us mistook RISK for anything like real geopolitics...
... which makes me wonder how things will change when we elect the first D&D nerd to the White House.
