A rather damning poll, coming from a purely propaganda network.

As far as #19 goes, what does "succeed" mean? I would suspect that "succeed" to conservatives means "stay around forever to hold the al-Maliki regime in place so as to honor the oil contracts and not throw out the occupying foreign power which runs the country". We've seen many, many examples of how the Bush Administration uses words in ways not recognized by rational people. "Mission Accomplished" and "The US does not torture terror suspects" are just two.

I can see it now: GWB - "What people have called the surge has succeeded. Al-Maliki is still in power, the Iraqi forces with Coalition assistance occupy Fallujah as long as the walls around the city hold up, and we now control every block in Baghdad where we have platoon in place. Al-Qaeda is on the run, but they can't hide! I'm asking Congress for another 100,000 troops and $500 billion dollars to solidify our hold so as to give that new, struggling, awe-inspiring democracy a firm footing."

"Succeed" indeed!
