Sounded like "mouth music" to me
Which is colloquial for a particular kind of nonsense lyric heard in Irish music...
The leek is the national plant symbol of the Welsh, as the thistle is to Scots, the rose to English, the shamrock to Irish... although, despite the anime (i.e., Japanese) look of the leek-swinger, this mouth music sounded more Scandinavian to me.
