If you wanted to spend a few bucks to save some time, you could go for something like this - lots of other models to choose from, from $100 to $800.
I don't think much of using them for hunting purposes, but for seeing what goes bump (or not) in the night, they would be cool. Thinking of getting one for up at the cabin.
