A male gay couple I know who are wealthy, stable, completely nice guys who contribute much to the community just adopted a baby. After much effort and expense.
The baby died of a hidden congenital defect 11 days after adoption.
They had so much to offer that child. The child had much to give them. And it died.
I read the story, and cried. I know the guys, not well, but have they participated in an intervention. One can get very angry with the unknown and uncaring forces which run this place.
